The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has ADMISSION NOTICE FOR FIRST YEAR OF POST HSC DIPLOMA COURSES IN PHARMACY FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24 on its official web portal dtemaharashtra.gov.in. Diploma Technical Courses Admission process has been started for diploma courses in Pharmacy from 12th June 2023. The online application forms for diploma courses after class 12th Pass in 10+2 examination (science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics; can be filled at dtemaharashtra.gov.in. Diploma in Pharmacy Courses Admission process is conducted in online mode.
On June 06, 2023, a notice of online registration and document uploading, document verification, and application form confirmation for admissions to the First Year of Post HSC Full Time Diploma in Pharmacy was published by the Directorate of Technical Education(DTE), Maharashtra State, which is the competent authority for carrying out all activities related to diploma course admission. The Competent Authority issues an online invitation to all eligible students to submit applications in the prescribed format in order to participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for admission to the Technical Diploma programmes offered by all institutions. After 12th Diploma in Pharmacy: Eligibility Criteria for Admission Diploma in Pharmacy:
Aspiring students who are interested for admission in Diploma in Pharmacy after 12th must satisfy following conditions:
(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates. –
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;
(ii) Passed 10+2 Examination (Science academic stream) with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
OR
Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the above examination.
Note:Other than Maharashtra State Candidates shall be eligible for Institution quota only.
(2) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National. –

- Maharashtra State Candidature
- All India Candidature – The Students having Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category.
- Minority Candidature – The Maharashtra domiciled Students belonging to a particular linguistic or religious minority community from within the State and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

Cut off date for the eligibility The eligibility of the candidate shall be determined and/or decided for all purposes including for applicability of all these Rules and Regulations by considering the last date of submission of Online Application form for CAP as the cut off date. It is made abundantly clear that if a candidate is found ineligible as on the last date of submission of Online Application form for CAP, in terms of these Rules and Regulations, and if such an ineligible candidate acquires the requisite eligibility after the aforesaid cut off date (i.e. the last date of submission of Online Application form), such subsequent acquisition of eligibility will not make an ineligible candidate eligible for CAP any purpose whatsoever, much less for the purpose of admission. |
How Merit List is prepared for Diploma in Pharmacy?
Assignment of Merit Number. – Merit number is assigned to all the eligible Candidates who have submitted Application Form on or before the last date through CAP. The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained at qualifying examination.
Assignment of Merit Number for First Year Diploma in Pharmacy
The merit list is prepared on the basis of Percentage of marks obtained in the subjects Physics,
Chemistry and higher marks of Mathematics or Biology in HSC. In case of tie, ( Aggregate percentage of two or more students are same) then merit of such Candidates shall be resolved in the following order of preference as specified below:
a. higher percentage of aggregate marks in HSC;
b. higher percentage of marks in Physics at HSC;
c. higher percentage of marks in Chemistry at HSC;
d. higher percentage of marks in English at HSC;
e. higher percentage of marks in SSC.
Reservation for Diploma admission for Socially, Educationally & Economically Backward Class Candidates:
The various reservations offered for the seats available under the Centralised Admission Process (except All India Seats and Supernumerary Seats) excluding Minority Institutions.
According to the information in the table below, the seats available under the Centralised Admission Process will be distributed among the various candidates from Maharashtra State who belong to socially, educationally, and economically deprived classes. The following reservation shall be made in accordance with the government’s periodically announced policy.

How to fill DTE Maharashtra Diploma Application?
- Online Registration – Candidates have to visit the official website https://phd23.dtemaharashtra.gov.in and by clicking on “New Registration” register by using their valid email ID and password.
- Fill Application Form with provide personal, academic, communication. Etc details in the online application.
- Uploading Documents – After providing necessary information, candidates have to upload the required documents in the format as prescribed by the authorities.
- Application Fee – After uploading all the required documents, candidates have to pay the application fee in online mode.
- Document Verification –For document verification the facility of e-Scrutiny and the Physical Scrutiny of the documents is made available for student. - Provisional and Final Merit List :All the eligible Candidates who have submitted Application Form on or before the last date specified for the submission of Application Form for Admission through CAP shall be assigned a merit number. The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained at qualifying examination. Candidates may update their online application form during the Grievance Period, after which the provisional merit list will be updated. Afterward, the final merit list will be shown.
- Display of Category-wise Seats (Seat Matrix) available for each CAP Rounds: DTE publish information on the website about institutes, courses offered, Sanctioned intake and number of seats available for each category before each round.
- Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Round: CAP Round I, II and III shall be conducted by computerized allotment. Filling up and Confirmation of Online Option Form through candidate login and give preferences of Courses and Institutions prior to respective CAP Rounds . Candidates should confirm the online option form. The candidate can fill in minimum 1 and maximum 300 options.
- Provisional Merit List : Display of Provisional Allotment of respective CAP Rounds indicating allotted institute and Course.
- Seat Acceptance : Reporting and accepting the offered seat at Admission Reporting Centre by the Candidate as per the schedule.
- Conduct of CAP Round-II and III-The seats available for Round II and III shall be published on the website. The Candidates eligible for round II and III are allowed to fill in and/or edit online option form filled in by the candidate for the previous round. From the stage of showing the seat matrix to the step of accepting the seats, the same procedure will be used for conduct of CAP II and CAP III.
During the CAP the seat may be Freeze, Betterment or Seat Acceptance
- Freeze- 1. If a candidate allotted the seat according to his first preference, the selection will be automatically freeze, and the applicant must accept the selection. Such a candidate will thereafter be ineligible to take part in the following CAP rounds. 2. Candidates who have been awarded a seat that is not their first preference and who are content with this allotment and do not intend to participate in additional CAP rounds may use the candidate’s login to freeze the offered seat.
- Betterment : Candidates who have been given a seat other than their first preference and accepted the seat are entitled for betterment to participate in the future rounds for improvement;
- Candidates who were given seats other than their first preference but did not accept them are still allowed to compete in the subsequent CAP rounds;
- Acceptance: Reporting and accepting the offered seat at Admission Reporting Centre by the Candidate as per the schedule. A Candidate who has been allotted a seat shall download the “Provisional Seat Allotment Letter” from his login and shall pay the seat acceptance fee shall be Rs. 1000/- which is non-refundable.
Which students are eligible for CAP round II and III ?
- Candidates who accepted the allotted seat and opt for betterment.
- Candidates who were given seats other than their first preference but did not accept them.
- Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in any of the previous round.
- Candidates who did not participate (failure of filling option form) in previous round.
Admissions in Institutional Quota and vacant seats after CAP.-
The institution publish advertisement on their website regarding invitation of applications and announce the admissions timetable and the number of seats in each course that are vacant after CAP rounds. the aspiring candidate may visit and submit the application to the colleges for admission at institute level quota. The institution, after verification of all required documents, shall display the lists of the Candidates to be filled in at the institution level.
