Relevant Analysis of Engineering Diploma Program after 10th and 11th/12th Science !!!
It is not easy to compare engineering diploma programs with 11th and 12th science, as they are different educational paths with different goals and outcomes. However, here are some reasons why some individuals may prefer engineering diploma programs over 11th and 12th science:
1. Hands-on Experience :
Engineering diploma programs often offer more hands-on and practical training compared to the theoretical approach of 11th and 12th science. Students in the engineering diploma program work on real-world projects, use industry-standard equipment and software, and gain experience that can prepare them for employment. Practical Learning Diploma engineering courses focus on practical learning, which means that you get hands-on experience with the latest technologies and equipment. This type of learning is highly valued by employers, as it prepares you for the real-world challenges that you will face in your job.
2. Specialization :
Engineering diploma programs offer students the opportunity to specialize in a specific field of engineering, such as civil, mechanical, electrical or computer engineering, among others. This can give students a competitive advantage when looking for a job in their chosen field. After 12th, students have to study Common Entrance Exam i.e. CET or JEE / JEE Advance to get admission in engineering. PCM group marks and CET marks of students are considered for engineering admission. A student is not eligible for engineering admission if he/she does not get the expected marks in 12th as well as in CET. If engineering is the sole aim of the student then he has to take admission in second year of diploma based on 12th science marks.
3. Time and Cost Efficiency:
Engineering diploma programs are shorter in duration than traditional 11th and 12th science programs and are also less expensive. This can make them a more attractive option for those looking to jump-start their careers or those looking for more affordable educational options. Tuition fee for 11th + 12th + CET is huge and the fee for 2 year course runs into lakhs. As children have to study for 12th board exam as well as CET, there is a lot of study pressure on children.
4. Industry-Related Courses :
The diploma course focuses entirely on technical education. Engineering diploma programs are designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required for industry. They often have a curriculum that is more in line with the industry market and the latest industry trends, making it easier for graduates to find employment. But in 11th/12th year and also in the first year of engineering, a student learns science, mathematics and other subjects and technical education starts from the second year. That is, after class 10th, a student studies science, mathematics for 3 years and engineering for the next 3 years. But if students enrolled for admission in diploma after 10th class then student will study technical education for 3 years of diploma and also study technical education for next 3 years of engineering. Therefore, after completing the diploma and taking admission in the second year of engineering, the foundation of the engineering course of the students becomes strong and engineering will be easier.
5. Job Opportunities:
With an engineering degree, students can pursue a variety of job opportunities in a variety of fields, including manufacturing, construction, transportation, and technology. Skilled engineers are in great demand and an engineering diploma can make graduates highly employable. A 12th pass student doesn’t get any job opportunity in technical field or industry. But after completing the diploma, the student immediately gets a job opportunity in the technical sector. Also, the demand for diploma students in the industrial sector is increasing day by day. Diploma students get job opportunities at the age of 19 / 20 years and children become independent.
Conclusion:
In a conclusion, a diploma in engineering is an excellent choice for students who have completed their 10th standard. An engineering diploma programme can undoubtedly be the finest route to engineering if a student’s main ambition is to become an engineer rather than engineering through 11th/12th science. If you are interested to pursuing a career in engineering, diploma engineering may be the perfect educational option for you.
